UNDERSTANDING YOUR OPTIONS
Legacy Homecare Group provides personalized in-home care for veterans and their surviving spouses throughout North Florida. Every care plan is tailored to the individual’s unique needs, helping veterans remain safe, comfortable, and independent while receiving compassionate one-on-one support in the place they know best: home.
Many eligible veterans and surviving spouses may qualify for VA benefits that help offset the cost of in-home care. Unfortunately, many families never receive these benefits simply because they are unaware they may qualify or feel overwhelmed by the application process.
One of the most valuable programs is our partnership with Community Care Network, which may help eligible veterans pay for non-medical home care. This additional pension benefit can make ongoing support more affordable, allowing veterans to receive the personalized care they need while continuing to live safely at home.
At Legacy Homecare Group, we believe accessing benefits should be as supportive as the care itself. That’s why we connect families with a trusted VA benefits partner who guides the Aid & Attendance application process at no cost. From determining eligibility to completing the application, families receive knowledgeable support every step of the way, making it easier to secure the care their loved one deserves.

"Families often come to us looking for care. They're relieved to learn we can also help them understand the VA benefits that may help cover the cost."
— The Founders of Legacy Home Care
IN-HOME VETERAN CARE SERVICES
Veteran home care is intended to help older veterans remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes while receiving assistance with the activities that have become more difficult to manage alone. Services are selected based on the veteran’s health, daily routine, and level of independence, and can be adjusted as needs change over time.
Below are some of the services commonly included in a veteran home care plan.
CARE THAT GROWS WITH YOUR NEEDS
Veteran home care can help when everyday tasks become harder to manage safely without assistance. Support may include personal care, meal preparation, mobility assistance, transportation, medication reminders, companionship, and help with routine household tasks.
Legacy Homecare Group supports older veterans living independently, veterans returning home after a hospital stay or rehabilitation, and families who need dependable non-medical caregiving support at home.

WHY CHOOSE Legacy
The quality of home care depends on more than the services provided. Consistency, communication, and thoughtful care coordination all play an important role. From the first assessment onward, our team focuses on establishing a dependable routine, matching each veteran with a caregiver who is a good fit, and coordinating services that work with existing medical appointments, family involvement, and daily schedules.
As care needs change, we make thoughtful adjustments without disrupting the support already in place. Families have a single point of contact for questions, schedule changes, or additional services, making it easier to coordinate care and respond when circumstances change.

We work with a qualified partner who assists eligible veterans and surviving spouses with the Aid and Attendance application at no cost to the family.
Every caregiver is carefully selected to provide professional assistance while respecting each veteran’s routines, preferences, and level of independence.
Legacy Homecare Group is a licensed Florida home care agency providing trusted in-home care throughout Tallahassee and the surrounding North Florida communities.
When care needs or schedules change, our team works quickly with families to update services and keep care running smoothly.
Getting Started
Our process is intended to give families clear answers before home care begins. We assess the veteran’s needs, explain available services and VA benefit options, and coordinate everything needed to start care.
01
Call or send us a message to discuss the veteran’s care needs. A Certified Senior Care Manager will contact you within one business day to answer your questions, explain the next steps, and schedule a complimentary care assessment.
02
We meet with the veteran and family to understand daily routines, current care needs, health considerations, and the level of assistance required. If applicable, we also discuss VA benefits and determine whether the veteran is eligible.
03
Based on the assessment, we develop a care plan and match the veteran with a caregiver who is a good fit for their needs and schedule. If the family chooses to apply for any VA Aid benefits, we connect them with our qualified partners, who provides application assistance at no cost.
